What is Taste the Island? ‘Taste the Island – a celebration of Ireland’s food and drink’ is an eight week showcase of Ireland’s food and drink culture across September, October and November, designed to provide visitors with access to unique events, high quality local ingredients and world-class authentic food and drink experiences. The programme of events will be extensive throughout the whole Island. Experiences will include visits to food producers, distillers and brewers; food trails, food and drink festivals, participation in traditional skills, opportunities to forage and fish, see our farmers working in their unique lush landscape, or sit back and enjoy the best modern Irish cuisine in traditional pubs, small-town cafés, restaurants, city bistros and Michelin-starred dining, the choice is endless for your clients to savour.
