Oysters take their taste from the bay they are grown in, giving them a unique flavour to their region. In this experience, you will visit an oyster farm and see how oysters have been grown for centuries in the crystal cold waters here. Join us on our farm tour and see how oysters are grown over a three-year period from seed to plate. As part of the tour enjoy the taste of a Connemara Oyster fresh from the waters of Ballinakill Bay. Our extended tours during Spring tides are special and include a walk on the seashore to the oyster beds. We are a working farm and part of our guided tour is conducted outside, however we can also deliver the tour indoors in our grading shed.
