The tourism barometer is Fáilte Ireland's annual state of the season survey. It is designed to provide an insight into tourism performance in that year based on feedback from tourism product providers.
The aim of this paper is to explain what coach tourism is, its importance to Ireland’s tourism offering and outline recent developments in the sector.

In 2007 Fáilte Ireland undertook significant research on visitor attitudes to wind farms in Ireland. In the intervening period well over one hundred wind farms have been constructed in Ireland. The research was therefore updated in 2012 and this paper outlines the findings of the research together with a comparison to the 2007 results.
