Enhancing Irish food experiences

Enhancing Irish food experiences

How Irish food experiences can be enhanced was the topic of choice for our Food & Hospitality Manager, Helen Mc Daid as she presented to attendees at the recent Restaurant Association of Ireland (RAI) Symposium.

This year’s Restaurant Symposium was themed ‘Food for Growth’. It brought together senior leaders from all areas of the hospitality and tourism industry across fields of government, media, restaurants and business.

During her presentation, which was entitled ‘Enhancing Irish Food Experiences: The Way Forward’, Helen outlined Fáilte Ireland’s food tourism vision –

“For Ireland to be recognised by visitors for the availability, quality and value of our local and regional food experiences which evoke a unique sense of place, culture and hospitality.”

Speaking about the Symposium, Helen said:

“The quality and authenticity of our food offering now plays a pivotal role in any visitor experience. With the wealth of knowledge available on the speakers’ panel, this year’s RAI Symposium provides a great opportunity for restaurants to hear about what is happening both nationally and internationally and be inspired to find new ways to create memorable experiences for visitors.”
