You’ll take a walk with an experienced maritime archaeologist who will explain the landscape around you. You will be guided through golden dunes and across stunning Culleenamore Strand which is also a seal sanctuary, so keep your eyes peeled and cameras at the ready. This bay is known for a number of prehistoric shell midden sites which are the discarded remains of shellfish and are thousands of years old. At one of the sites, freshly harvested mussels will be cooked for you on the rocks by an expert chef. You can quite literally dine as your ancestors did, in exactly the same place.
