The tour begins with a walking tour of the Park surrounded by woodland. Numerous heritage and nature exhibitions are visited before entering the Parks Peatland area. Following a visit to the Peatland exhibition the group is asked to take part in some traditional turf cutting and then the tour finishes with a trip on Peatland heritage railway. The group can avail of “tea and scone on the bog” after turf cutting or have refreshments in a thatched cottage or café after tour.
