WHAT IS IT?

Fáilte Ireland recently launched theWelcome Standard specifically to recognise the many atypical and

innovative accommodation businesses in Ireland which are committed to a high quality experience for

their guests but do not fit within the traditional Fáilte Ireland quality framework. The new Standard

recognises significant changes in both consumer tastes and the range of accommodation types now

available in Ireland for your clients.

Businesses which achieve the standard can display theWelcome Standard Signage on their property and

logo on their website and marketing material. The standard is based on the known core characteristics

found in any successful accommodation business which includes professionalism, hospitality, friendliness,

efficiency and comfort. Fáilte Ireland’s Welcome Standard guarantees that these businesses have been

professionally and independently assessed by the national tourism organisation, Fáilte Ireland, which has

their, and Ireland’s, best interests at heart.
