Experience Description

A guided walk (approx. 2½ hours, led by a Maritime Archaeologist) of ancient

archaeology, fossils and rare orchids in gorgeous sand dunes, with tales of the

Spanish Armada. Lunch at a restaurant with locally sourced food, followed by

horse-riding (approx. 2½ hours) along a sandy beach.

Opening Details

April-September (peak), off peak – until end of October based on 10

minimum number in off-peak, 7 days, weather permitting. Duration of

experience; 6 hours/full day.

Parking, Access/Ability & Special Requirements

Coach parking available at the beach near the start of walk.Walkers can be

dropped off at start point. There is some parking at Mullaghmore Harbour but

no coach parking at the stables. Small coach only. Experience is not absolutely

necessary for riding. Beginners are accepted. Some fitness is required.Would

not suit under 8 years.

Opening Details

Open for scheduled classes and private bookings which can take place 7 days

per week. Scheduled from April to September, available for private bookings

also during these months only. Sea conditions dependent. (All private

bookings are subject to availability of school on dates).

Parking, Access/Ability & Special Requirements

4-5 bays for coaches. No children under 8 years of age. All children under 12

must be accompanied by an adult. No wheelchair accessible work stations for

hands on classes because there are 5 steps in room. Clothing requirements:

comfortable closed in shoes for hands on cookery classes. Suitable clothing

for boat or foraging trips. Refreshments are provided for most classes. Closest

shop is 1km.
