Experience Description

A 1hr 30min walk. The Pilgrim Path at Sliabh Liag (Slieve League) offers a

different way of experiencing these spectacular cliffs which are among the

highest in Europe. This moderate walking route is only 2.8km long but features

views of the villages of Teelin and Carrick and finishes up looking down upon

the cliffs. On your excursion you will also get a glimpse into the ancient

history of this mystical location, passing church ruins and a holy well on the

eastern summit of Sliabh Liag.

All year round, subject to weather conditions as mountain path.

Parking, Access/Ability & Special Requirements

No coach parking. Up to 3 car parking spaces available at trail head. No min.

age but children need to be accompanied by an adult. Reasonable standard

of fitness required. Suitable for the intermediate walker.Walking boots and

relevant all weather clothing required. Packed lunches available from Slieve

League Lodge, Carrick Village, 5 mins drive away.

Experience Description

A 1hr 30min. 4.5km non-guided circular walk taking in views of the Atlantic

Ocean from Rougey and Bundoran’s bustling main street. Along the path are

cliff arches which have been carved by the Atlantic Ocean and theWishing

Chair which is Bundoran’s answer to the Blarney Stone.

Year round. Caution required during high winds.

Parking, Access/Ability & Special Requirements

Coach and car parking at Tullan Strand. Street parking at Tourist Office.

Moderate level of fitness required. Suitable clothing/footwear required for

walking on finished surface.
