each museum visit.

International and Language Group visits are self-directed in each museum

allowing your group take in the Museum’s collections at their own pace to

focus on the areas of particular interest. Knowledgeable attendants are on

hand to answer questions. Note: For conservation purposes, no food or drink

allowed in Museum spaces.

Also known as ‘The Dead Zoo’, the Museum carries 10,000 exhibits of the natural

world showcasing (in decorative cabinets) a wide-ranging and comprehensive

zoological collection. The Discovery Zone offers a unique chance to get to grips

with a Badger and a Pilot Whale skull. This hands-on area has two mobile units

with the themes: Life on Land and The Life Aquatic. To help plan your visit a

No min/max age. Each museum is wheelchair accessible (although some

floors have no lift access – please check website for details). Public Restrooms,

including wheelchair accessible restrooms at each Museum. An onsite café

(at NMI Archaeology) and variety of Cafés and shops all within 5 mins. walk

of all Museums. Coach Parking available within walking distance. Public Coach

parking available throughout the city, all within walking distance of each
