IRELAND’S
ANCIENT EAST
ORIENTATION SIGNS
To make it as easy as possible for the visitor to orientate themselves whilst
in Ireland’s Ancient East, there has been significant investment in brand
infrastructure.
At each county boarder there is a welcome sign saying you are entering Ireland’s
Ancient East, whilst 80 orientation signs have been installed at key sites across
the geography.
The purpose of these signs is to create points of curiosity, slow the visitor down,
explore the region and stay overnight.
Shaped as a large spiral wheel, each branded sign highlights a range of sites within
up to 60 minutes’ drive away from the sign location to encourage visitors to
extend their stay and visit more than just the primary sites.
