Experience Description

Scattery Island Tours offers a daily scheduled ferry service to Scattery

Island, off the coast of West Clare. The ferry service departs from the Marina

at Kilrush, Co. Clare from May to September with complimentary guided

walking tours available on the island during the months of June and August.

The service also offers a packed lunch option to allow visitors to enjoy a

longer stay on the island. The unique micro climate coupled with the range

of historic sites, bird watching and island walking ensures that a visit to the

island offers something for everyone.

Visitors will be supplied with a walking map of the island. In addition, there

is an OPW flyer available that offers a short overview on the island in 14

different languages. A short video on board the vessel will provide tourists

with a quick intro to the island as they travel out. The OPW provide tour

guides on the island between the months of June and August, if you require

a guided tour outside of these months arrangements can be made for a

guide to be available.

Pricing

13.50 per person – excluding lunch option &

19.50 including lunch.

Vessel can take up t0 12 people. For larger groups, the boat can depart from

Cappa, which will allow transfer of larger groups across a number of runs

in a short period of time.

Experience Description

Fully guided boat trip to observe Europe’s largest group of Bottlenose

Dolphins at the Mouth of the Shannon. This is a wildlife adventure for all ages.

Your guide will tell you about the dolphins, other wildlife including grey seals,

pelagic seabirds and wild goats that reside in this beautiful part of Ireland,

whilst sailing under stunning cliffs and caves. Learn about the geology and

maritime history of the local area.
