Inishbofin Island, off the coast of Connemara, on theWild AtlanticWay, is the
first Irish island to receive an international ecotourism award.

On a mid-morning sailing, visitors enjoy spectacular land and seascapes en
route to the island, before walking the short distance to the Island Hotel, for
refreshment and short film screening about the fascinating heritage, history
and geology of the place. Time then, to head out with maps to take in the
walk of the scenicWestquarter Loop.
With a selection of looped walks, 2 Green Coast awarded beaches, a dive
centre, an equestrian centre, and bicycle hire, there is plenty to fill a day here,
not to mention the great bird watching and photography opportunities the
island offers. Return ferry 1800hrs.
