Experience Description
The development of a cultural centre at “Teach an Phiarsaigh” in Ros Muc
provides visitors with an introduction to the Irish language, Gaeltacht culture
and environment, focusing on 1916 leader Patrick Pearse and his relationship
with Connemara. The exhibition includes an enhanced walkway from the
Cultural Centre to the existing national monument of Pearse Cottage.
Guided and self-guided tours available.

Access to video, display area and proposed Tea Room will be free.
Access to permanent exhibitions, Pearse Cottage and a guided Tour are:
€5.00 per adult; €4.00 Senior Citizens; €3.00 Students; €13.00 Family
(2 adults and 2 children). Minimum Group size for group rate is 20+; No
maximum group size for Cultural Centre, however, there is a maximum
number of 15 people for the guided tour of Pearse Cottage.

Parking, Access/Ability & Special Requirements
Experience is indoors, apart from the walkway to the original cottage. Cultural
Centre is completely accessible. The Path to Pearse Cottage is accessible for
wheelchairs as is Pearse Cottage. Parking available. Tea room on site by Easter
2017.

Experience Description
It’s no secret that Irish poet William Butler Yeats was inspired by the landscape
of County Sligo. This is where he spent his childhood holidays, and set such
famous poems as The Lake Isle of Innisfree.
During this experience, you’ll learn all about his poetry over an intimate lunch
or dinner in Broc House, surrounded by art and architecture. Enjoy the view
from the terrace, taking in several locations featured in Yeats’s work. Tuck into
sandwiches, seasonal soup, salads from the garden and Irish tea brack, while
you listen to Damien Brennan tell the inspiring story of a visionary writer and
his beloved Land of Heart’s Desire.
Yeats Experience is an English speaking event and only suitable for fluent
