Take an interactive multimedia journey throughWicklow’s Historic Gaol.
Designed to engage all the senses, visitors will step back in time. Holographic
projections of cruel prison guards, the sound of the defiant cries from the
1798 rebels and the transformation of three prison floors, visually recreates
over 200 years of Irish history through the eyes of the inmates. The tour
is partially guided (English only) and audio guides are also available. Print
Materials available in English/Chinese; Audio guides available in English/
French/German/Italian/Spanish.

Parking, Access/Ability & Special Requirements
Disabled parking spaces are available closer to the main door. The ground
floor of Wicklow Gaol is fully wheelchair accessible. The upper and lower
floors are not wheelchair accessible. All visitors should be careful of their
steps throughout the jail and be careful of low doorways. There is a large
public car park in front of Wicklow Gaol and space for two coaches.

‘Floating Through Time’ River Tour is a unique 1 hr 45 min journey through
Medieval Trim. The visitor climbs on-board an inflatable raft and paddles their
way down the river following the routes our ancestors
took.Wepull up and
visit the ruins of The Cathedral of St Peter and Paul. The tour is guided by
very knowledgeable local guides and is hugely entertaining. The tour ends
at a quaint little pub, where visitors can drop in for a drink afterwards. Tour
duration: 2 hrs.

The excursion will not run in a flooded river but will run in rain. Rain jackets
supplied.
Parking, Access/Ability & Special Requirements
Accommodates small and medium coaches, max. 2 of each. No parking for
large coaches. Access to get onto the raft may be difficult for people with
mobility issues but once on board it is a relaxed activity.Wellington boots and
life jackets are provided on arrival.
