King of the Vikings – A dynamic Virtual Reality 3D experience, bringing you up
close and personal with the Viking warlords who foundedWaterford Ireland’s
oldest city! This experience is housed in a replica Viking house within the
atmospheric ruins of a medieval monastery in the heart of the Viking city.
Next to Reginald’s Tower where the Treasures of VikingWaterford and a full
size Viking longship are displayed. Experience is in English only with guide and
virtual reality. The re-enactor guide, a Viking comb-maker or his wife, regales
the visitor with stories about life in VikingWaterford who is invited to don a
special magical helmet that will transport them back 1100 years where they
come face to face with the great heroic and legendary Viking leader Reginald,
founder of the city of Waterford and King of Waterford and York.
