Experience Description
Dunleckney Maltings was originally built as a water powered brewery, later
becoming a significant Malthouse. The tradition of craft brewing using old
original recipes and locally sourced ingredients was revived by the O’Hara’s
in Carlow, now one of the largest craft breweries in the country. Here we will
walk you through history on our guided tour and you get to experience the
art of malting and what life as a maltster was like. At the end you can sit back
and relax in our tasting bar and enjoy a sample of your choice of one of the
O’Hara’s locally brewed beers. Guided tour: 1hr.
