Visit Highbank Organic Orchards and enjoy a guided tour of the Organic

Working Farm and Distillery sampling Single Estate AwardWinning products.

Travel through this wonderful working farm on a tractor train to Burnchurch

Castle to experience Irish historic heritage. Steeped in medieval history the

17th century stone built Highbank coach yard with its small distillery offers a

backdrop to tasting the organic orchard syrup, juices, organic ciders, vinegars

and apple spirits all produced directly from the orchards. The farm is full of

seasonal wildlife and visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and sit by the eco

lakes to enjoy. French and Spanish guides availbable. Duration – 1.5 hr – 2 hrs

Coach parking facilities on site It is a distillery experience and therefore does

not necessarily suit children. Surface is uneven and difficult for wheelchairs.

Using 2/3 person Canadian style canoes you are taken on a trail that is full

of beauty, nature and heritage. The route starts in Graignamanagh, site of

Cistercian monastery since 1204 and finishes at the ruins of the little pilgrim

chapel in st Mullins dedicated to St James.

Your guide will tell you of the History of the local Kavanagh family – including

Arthur MacMurrough Kavanagh (1833 to 1889) who travelled all over Europe,

Russia and India on horseback – having no arms or legs
