Who could take part in the programme?

Digital that Delivers was open to tourism businesses based in the Republic of Ireland across the following sectors.

  • Visitor experiencesVisitor attractions, activity providers, day tours, festivals and tourism-focused golf courses were eligible to apply regardless of size.
  • FestivalsKey festivals of all scales across Ireland that attract visitors were eligible to apply.
  • Golf coursesGolf courses that work in the tourism sector, offering opportunities for visitors to play, were eligible to apply.

Programme commitment

Participants committed to:

  • Engage with the programme over two years, with a named business contact as lead
  • Work with an assigned Fáilte Ireland digital advisor throughout the programme
  • Develop and implement a digital action plan with advisor support
  • Attend programme briefings and check-ins at agreed intervals
  • Commit staff time to digital skills-building activities

    • A personalised digital action plan developed with your advisor.
    • Access to Fáilte Ireland digital toolkits and resources.
    • Skills-building support for digital marketing, booking systems, and online presence.
    • Peer learning opportunities with other programme participants.

    What was not included?

    • Direct financial grants or payments to participating businesses
    • Guaranteed revenue or booking outcomes
    • Support for businesses that were not based in the Republic of Ireland or did not operate in an eligible sector

    Digital that Delivers and state aid funding

    Financial support provided to participants through the programme was considered state aid under the De Minimis Regulation. Businesses must not have exceeded the €300,000 limit over the previous 36 months, including this programme's support.
